When I was 7 I had my ears pierced. It looked cute and I had a few pairs of earrings. Within about 6 months I started to get horrid cysts in my ears, I had to let the holes close up. 10 years later I got them pierced again, same problem.
I've always thought about getting my nose or eyebrow pierced. I didn't think tweezing or threading would work too well with a piercing. This past Friday while looking at a webpage for a threading place I noticed they did piercing (place full of Indian women).
I took the plunge and got a nose stud. I chose the left side for traditional reasons.
"In India the outside of the
left is the preferred position of the piercing as this is supposed to
make childbirth easier. This is because Ayurvedic medicine associates
this location with the female reproductive organs.""

What's in a box?
No, it isn't a cat. In my case it's 3 pieces of Citrine and 1 piece of Peridot.
It started this past weekend when we went to visit Garrett's god parents. We stopped at a coin store that also sold items from estate sales. I decided to take a look through the silver charms to see if I could find anything interesting and while I picked up several pieces my favorite was this little box. It was a bit tarnished but polished up rather nicely.
I found an extra chain for it but still had to figure out what to put inside. I settled on Citrine because of its properties. There was a decent amount of room in my tiny necklace so I got 3 cut stones in different shapes. A round, an oval an a tear drop shape.
While purchasing them she asked me if it was Garrett's birthstone, it isn't but I thought it might make a nice addition. I added a lovely piece of Peridot to the mix because it has some great properties of its own.
I'm loving the necklace because it's just so unique. I can also adjust what stones are in the box depending on what energies I'm looking for.
