I have the BRCA 2 mutation
84% risk of breast cancer
27% risk of ovarian cancer

I will be getting a bi-lateral mastectomy in the semi-near future

  1. I'm so sorry. Your doctor should recommend mammograms as well as another test in the interim to ensure if cancer does visit, it's caught early and dealt with.

    I already get mammograms. I just can't do one while going through IVF.

  3. oh gosh! I did research on that gene connection many years ago. One of the reasons I work with a breast/ovarian cancer organization.

    Best wishes with the IVF, too, I did that!
